Our Commitment 

The Marden Vale Team Ministry is committed to ensuring it provides a safe and caring environment for all, including children and adults who may be at risk of abuse and neglect.

We aim to create safe environments within which our welcome to all is matched by proper and effective safeguards. We act promptly on any complaints made, working in close partnership with Salisbury Diocese on any such matters.

Furthermore we commit to protect the personal data of individuals in accordance with the principles established in the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). For more information on GDPR please click here.

Safeguarding

The Diocese of Salisbury has a safeguarding policy which we follow in the Parish of Calne and Blackland

The Marden Vale Team Ministry takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk very seriously, and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

The following policy was agreed at the Parochial Church Council (PCC) meeting
held in November 2025 review will be in November 2026

In accordance with the Church of England Safeguarding Policy our church is committed to: 

  • Promoting a safer environment and culture.
  • Safely recruiting and supporting all those with any responsibility related to children, young people and vulnerable adults within the church.
  • Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.
  • Caring pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse and other affected persons.
  • Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns or allegations of abuse and other affected persons.

Responding to those that may pose a present risk to others.
